Our expertise is to “reprocess” psychological trauma and simultaneously open access to emotional resources, spiritual gifts and internal resilience. We practice a collaborative model where your expertise is your unique life experience and ours is clinical training.
We pride ourselves in techniques that produce results within 6 weeks, so you can discharge from therapy and live your life.Our main clinical modality is EMDR. We start with traditional assessment and talk therapy to create a clear goal and subsequently use EMDR, to connect new, more adaptive brain pathways for lasting change. We also use KAP (Ketamine Assisted Psychotherapy) to open up and integrate the trauma stored in the brain. DBR naturally cleans out persistent trauma in the brain where deep humiliation, abandonment, shame and aloneness is held, which other modalities are unnsuccessful at accessing because it is so deeply held in the midbrain.

EMDR

Psychedelic Journey Integration
Talk therapy doesn’t work unless the learnings can be embodied. Ketamine clinics and Psilocybin Service Centers can be an effective psychological intervention conjunct with talk therapy and EMDR therapy. Our specially trained therapists play an important role in safety of psychedelics and harm reduction. Our therapists can help prepare for your psychedelic journey, integrate insights post psychedelic journey, and help with a challenging trip. Ketamine Assisted Psychotherapy (KAP)
At Mirror Pond Counseling, we utilize Ketamine Assisted Psychotherapy (KAP) as an intervention to take healing to the next level. Even after EMDR therapy, therapy can get into loops that contraindicate progress. Ketamine has been used since the 1970’s in hospitals and is a safe intervention for many people. Deep Brain Reorienting (DBR)
Deep Brain Reorienting is a new cutting edge modality that targets deeply held trauma, that the brain records within milliseconds of stimulus response. While EMDR targets the outer 2 layers of the brainstem, DBR targets 7 layers deep into the brainstem, the midbrain which is the hub of processing. This is where persistent depression can operate despite years of treatment. We want to help our clients get real results.
Spiritually Integrated Psychotherapy
Spiritually Integrated Psychotherapy is a big part of the practice, based on the God or higher power of one’s experience or understanding. We believe spirituality is the most powerful modality, but its also the most subjective force. You are welcome to bring in any spiritual gifts, imagery, or belief sets that will aid you in becoming relentlessly who you are.
Internal Family Systems therapy (IFS)
At Mirror Pond Counseling, we utilize the Internal Family Systems model to gain awareness about your unique internal system which is comprised of your Higher Self, your protective parts and your inner traumatized exiles who are waiting to be healed in a sustainable, safe manner.
