ABOUT

Kimberly Drew is a business owner and current psycho-spiritual trauma processing specialist.

In the past, when she was an Oregon State Supervisor, she helped several therapists earn their license in the State of Oregon. She served Central Oregon since 2015 and is now launching a national enterprise.

Kimberly first worked with teen girls on a ranch in WY that was faith-based, but there were serious problems in how they used religion in the therapeutic space, that resulted in serious lawsuits and malpractice. It was such an intense experience at 23 years old, Kimberly needed to gain more training in counseling and ethics, and was accepted into Seattle University’s School of Theology studying clinical psychology to become a spiritually integrated counselor. That was an amazing program and she was supported to earn her MAPC- Masters in Pastoral Counseling.

Kimberly began working in private practice in Bend in 2015, creating a psychospiritual brand as a clinical counselor. Kimberly worked at the nonprofit WaterCup Counseling in Redmond as a Christian counselor for 4 years. Seeing women’s spiritual role in their churches and helping them process childhood trauma in order to serve their family and church more effectively, was deeply inspiring.

Since grad school, Kimberly has always framed therapy as a psycho-spiritual endeavor, grounded in clinical frameworks, simultaneously listening deeply to spirit, using breath, intuition, and creativity. On a clinical level, Kimberly committed early in her career to study cutting edge, evidence-based modalities that are proven to be effective- to not lose heart, get jaded, or burned out.

Over the years, Kimberly’s niche has formed into facilitating the processing of trauma through EMDR, DBR, Ketamine Assisted Therapy and Internal Family Systems. In her 15 years experience working in mental health, real, lasting life changes always happen when old trauma wounds, sometimes 20+ years old, are cleared out. Kimberly has experience with all of these modalities; EMDR, DBR, medically administered KAP, sacred medicine (Ayahuasca), Internal Family Systems, Acupuncture, IFS, and Reiki.

There is an art in approaching the presenting issue using each intervention wisely and with strong rapport. Being from a family of multigenerational engineers and software developers, Kimberly appreciates a logical approach, and since the brain is very similar to a computer, she hones her inherent ability to map out the solution. For example, following the correct order of operations in the EMDR protocol, guaranteed achieving practical results while maintaining stability throughout the process.

Basically- Kimberly has ample experience using frameworks to set up the initial target for her clients to be successful in achieving their desired result- processing and clearing out stuck traumas.

Currently, Kimberly enjoys working with community leaders, business owners, working and/or single moms, men who may be disenchanted with touchy feely therapeutic techniques, anyone involved in the legal system, and anyone who is burned out.

Most clients who step into the office, have childhood trauma in which their spiritual path has already transformed into a strength. This does not go unnoticed, clients have already done 80% of the work. However, the impact of the trauma is not totally cleared, and substantial burdens still create negative emotional/somatic activation mixed in with functional roles and/or professional genius. In past clinical work, Kimberly noticed; brain pathways are often so deep the activation is immune to traditional talk-therapy, and more advanced, somatic and spiritual interventions are needed.
